About Hudson Place One

The tower is the first phase of Townline's Hudson District, on Herald Street between Douglas and Blanshard. Suites run from about 473 to 1,879 square feet across studios, one- and two-bedrooms, sub-penthouses and penthouses, and the podium holds one 2,355 square foot commercial unit. Parking is underground, with 13 visitor stalls.

Pre-completion coverage described an 11,000 square foot amenity floor on level three with indoor and outdoor space, plus a concierge. Amenities are listed from that marketing, so confirm what is open and what the strata charges for before you rely on any of them.

Marketing before completion priced suites from $390,900; Citified's building record lists $374,900 and up. Neither is a current price. The amenity list reflects pre-completion marketing.

Who Hudson Place One suits, and who should look elsewhere

A good fit for

Buyers who want a newer concrete tower with concierge service and a downtown location, and who accept that Victoria has no rapid transit and only resale inventory.

Look elsewhere if you are

You want a low-rise or a quiet side street. It is the tallest building in the city and sits in a busy part of downtown.

Before you buy in any strata building, ask for the Form B information certificate, two years of strata council minutes and the depreciation report; together they show the strata’s finances, special levies and upcoming repairs. For a leasehold such as Orchard House, also read the head lease and ask your lender how it treats the remaining term. Use the condo fee calculator to check monthly costs and the property transfer tax calculator for closing.
